How to Change a BlackBerry Registration ID

BlackBerry has this policy that requires users to create a BlackBerry ID to log in to applications on their devices, such as BlackBerry Messenger and BlackBerry App World. BlackBerry owners must create an ID on the BlackBerry ID site. The ID must be an email address, although this detail is not specified on the site. Once a BlackBerry ID has been created, It's optional for you to change the ID by navigating to the BlackBerry ID site to sign in and update your account information.

Step 1

Navigate to the BlackBerry ID website (see Resources).

Step 2

Click the “Log In” link on the right side of the page.

Step 3

Log in with the current BlackBerry ID email address/username and password.

Step 4

Click the “Account Details” option.

Step 5

Click the “Edit” option.

Step 6

Replace the current email address/username with the new ID.

Step 7

Click the “Save” button.

Step 8

Click “Done.”
